Smart City · Dubai
The city is getting smarter. Why hasn't your home?
Dubai has built world-class sensing — a smart meter on every home, live consumption data, leak alerts sent free. But a signal isn't a fix. TruCo is the trusted, on-the-ground layer that turns the city's data into someone at your door, solving the problem.
The insight
Dubai detects the leak. It doesn't fix it.
When your home uses more water than usual, DEWA sends a free alert. But its responsibility ends at the meter — everything downstream, inside your home, is yours to fix. DEWA's own advice is to call a specialised technician.
- 100% smart water meters Over 1M across Dubai, complete since June 2024
- Free High Water Usage Alerts By SMS, email and app — live since 2018
- ~67M m³ of water saved By the alert programme over six years
That technician is unowned. DEWA built the detection and points the customer at a specialist. Nobody owns the fix. TruCo does.
The gap
A great alarm. A slow one.
DEWA's alert is built to catch slow, hidden leaks — not to pinpoint them. Its limits are exactly where we come in.
-
Slow to warn
The alert fires only after roughly 48 hours of continuously high flow. Days of waste before a signal.
-
Whole-property only
It tells you the home is leaking — not which fixture. Meter-level, not room-level.
-
Easy to miss
It repeats about once every 15 days. Coarse, and easy to set aside.
-
It goes quiet
Left unfixed for ~3 months, it treats the higher usage as normal and simply stops alerting.
The journey
Where we're taking this.
One arc, three steps — each deepening what a home's maintenance can be. We're already on step one.

01
Respond
Live todayForward us your DEWA alert. We attend, pressure-test the internal line, find the leak, fix it, and log it on your service record. Nothing to install, and it is work we do right now.
-
02
Prevent
NextOur own wireless leak sensors on the assets that actually fail — AC condensate trays, under sinks, by the water heater — reporting to a hub we own. Alerted in minutes, at the exact spot, instead of waiting on a whole-property signal.

Connect
On the horizonA direct line to the city's data. As Dubai's smart infrastructure opens up, TruCo becomes the accredited response layer plugged into it — proactive, asset-level, ours end to end.
Beyond water
Preventive. Connected. Sustainable.
The same model extends across the whole home. TruCo owns the last mile — the trusted, recurring, physical layer the smart home has always been missing.
-
Preventive
Sensors that see failure coming — AC health, damp and humidity, electrical load. We move from fixing breakdowns to preventing them.
-
Connected
One maintained hub for a home full of smart devices — installed, integrated, monitored, with a human who responds when they alert.
-
Sustainable
Every leak fixed is water saved; every efficient AC is power saved. Maintenance becomes a measurable contribution to Dubai's targets.
Aligned with Dubai
Built for where the city is going.
Our work maps directly onto Dubai's own published goals — which makes every home we look after a small piece of the city's targets.
-
Dubai's goal
Clean Energy Strategy 2050
100% of the emirate's energy from clean sources by 2050. Efficient, well-maintained homes are part of getting there.
-
Dubai's goal
Demand-Side Management 2030
A 30% cut in the city's electricity and water demand by 2030. Fixing leaks and tuning AC is exactly this work, home by home.
-
DEWA programme
Shams Dubai
Rooftop solar connected to the grid. Panels need installing, cleaning and monitoring — dust alone erodes their output. Our work.
-
Dubai green building
Al Sa'fat
The emirate's green-building standard. We keep homes efficient and compliant as the rules tighten.
FAQ
The questions we get.
-
Is any of this live today?
Yes. The first step needs nothing but your DEWA alert forwarded to us. We attend and fix internal leaks now, priced per visit — no new hardware required.
-
How is this different from DEWA's free alert?
DEWA tells you the property is leaking — slowly, and whole-home. We find the exact fixture, fix it, and, with our own sensors, catch it in minutes rather than days.
-
Do you need a partnership with DEWA to do this?
No — not to start. The customer simply forwards the alert. A direct automated data feed is a later possibility, not a dependency for the service.
-
What does it cost the homeowner?
Leak response is priced per visit and quoted before we start. There is no separate call-out fee.
